Writing Intensive (WI) Faculty Preparation

Planning to teach a WI course?  Just interested in writing in the disciplines?  Join us for a two-part workshop series that aims to save you time and effort by sharing best teaching practices at Marymount and other universities.

Please RSVP one week in advance of the workshop series start date.  We need a critical mass of at least four participants.

You may mix and match (sessions I and II) from the times listed below although we recommend staying with your original group.  Alternately, four or more instructors may propose times (two four-hour blocks) for their own workshop series.  We’ll do them as scheduling permits, with the caveat that all workshops are open to all instructors.

We’ll provide a snack and a copy of John Bean’s Engaging Ideas: The Professor’s Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical Thinking, and Active Learning in the Classroom.  Adjuncts will also receive a $200 stipend.
